Canada, the second largest country in the world, is a vast and rugged land that spans more than half the Northern Hemisphere. From east to west, it stretches almost 4,700 miles across six time zones. Despite its size, it only houses one-half of one percent of the world's population, with an estimated population of 37,808,000 in 2023.

The country has a rich history, marked by the interactions between the voyageurs and Canadian indigenous people, and the period under French Rule. Canada also played significant roles in both World Wars, which had profound impacts on the nation. Canada is unique for its bilingualism, with many citizens speaking both French and English. 

The capital of Canada is Ottawa, and as of 2023, the head of government is Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Indo-Canadians nabbed for smuggling Rs 300 crore cocaine into Canada from US

Nine people, including several Indo-Canadians, have been arrested as the Peel Regional Police seized 479 kg of cocaine worth CAD 47.9 million (Rs 299.4 crore).
