Actor Jared Leto accused of sexual misconduct by nine women, including minors

Oscar-winning actor Jared Leto is facing accusations of sexual misconduct from at least nine women, according to a detailed report by Airmail. The 53-year-old actor is alleged to have engaged in inappropriate behaviour, with some claims involving individuals who were minors at the time of the incidents.

The Airmail report features interviews with nine women who collectively assert that Leto has a documented history of such conduct. Among the disturbing allegations are claims that he posed sexual questions to a 16-year-old girl, exposed himself to a 17-year-old, and engaged in inappropriate acts with an 18-year-old.

One woman, a model who was 16 back in 2008, recounted meeting Leto at an animal rights event before visiting his studio. There, she claims he flirted with her and appeared nude. Leto's representative has denied any sexual or inappropriate communication, asserting that the model had applied to be his personal assistant, a claim she refutes.

Another woman stated she was also 16 when Leto approached her at a Los Angeles cafe and later called her at night with a disquieting voice. She further alleged that after declining an invitation to a party, he continued to call her for weeks, and the conversations became sexually suggestive. Leto's representative has responded by stating that the actor has abstained from drugs and alcohol for over 35 years.

A third woman claimed that Leto asked her uncomfortable questions while she was underage and, when she turned 18, exposed himself and masturbated in front of her, also forcing her hand onto him. She added that she was not the youngest at his house parties, which she characterised as reportedly focused on encouraging girls to skinny-dip.

Leto's representative has vehemently denied all these allegations, asserting there was no "recruiting, complaints, or impropriety." Additionally, a promoter who organised parties for the Hollywood actor stated 'he never witnessed anyone skinny-dipping'.

These allegations came to light after a DJ last month reposted a 2012 Facebook status on Instagram, in which she accused Leto of inappropriate behaviour when she was 17. She described the actor's actions as predatory and unacceptable. Leto's representative has dismissed these specific allegations as "demonstrably false." Following her post, the DJ shared over 50 responses from individuals who reported similar experiences, some of whom were reportedly as young as 14 to 16 years old at the time.

Jared Leto is an acclaimed actor, having won an Oscar and a Golden Globe for his portrayal of a transwoman in 'Dallas Buyers Club'. He will next be seen in 'Tron Ares'. The third film in the franchise will release on October 10, 2025.
