Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja, who turned 57 on June 15, celebrated her birthday by offering prayers at the Kal Bhairav temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Videos of Sunita visiting the temple went viral on social media.
In the video, Sunita can be seen wearing a green suit and sitting inside the premises of the temple. However, in the video, she appeared alone; neither her husband, nor their children were by her side. However, it has been reported that Sunita has been celebrating her birthday alone for the past twelve years.

In a recent interview with The Powerful Humans, Sunita spoke about the decline of her husband's career, ascribing it to his attempts to cling to formulas that don't work in the industry anymore.
“Why has Govinda not been seen in 17 years? The problem is that his circle is the wrong one. It’s a wrong circle. Today, my fights with him are because I can’t lie, and I do not appreciate flattery," she shared.
“Today he has four people – a writer, a musician, a secretary and a lawyer friend. They are of no use. They only say ‘wah, wah!‘ If he makes music, they say ‘wah, wah kalam kar diya. ‘They should tell him the truth. When I tell him the truth, he gets upset," she further added.
Govinda and Sunita Ahuja got married in March 1987. The couple shares two children, Tina and Yashvardhan Ahuja.
