Defence Minister Rajnath Singh questioned the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) $1 billion loan to Pakistan, suggesting it could be used to fund terror infrastructure. Singh urged the IMF to reconsider its bailout package.
Speaking at Bhuj airbase, Rajnath Singh said that a significant portion of the IMF loan would "certainly" be used to fund terror infrastructure. On May 9, the IMF cleared a $1-billion tranche for Islamabad as part of its Extended Fund Facility (EFF) lending program despite objections by India. And Union Home Minister Amit Shah hailed Operation Sindoor, calling it a symbol of Prime Minister Modi's political will.
