​The Congress Working Committee (CWC) convened in Ahmedabad to strategise the party's future direction and address internal organisational matters. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge criticised the BJP for allegedly fostering communal divisions to distract from core issues and accused the BJP-RSS of attempting to appropriate national icons like Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, whose ideologies, he asserted, differ significantly from those of the RSS. Kharge also refuted claims of discord between Patel and Jawaharlal Nehru, emphasising their mutual respect and collaboration.
