Tabu kept it simple in a white, chikankari anarkali. While the look was elegant, we're still waiting for the actress to take some sartorial risks.

Ayesha's emerald green and red net anarkali was offset by kundan jewellery. We like that she pulled her hair back, but could have done without the blinged-out clutch.

Sonakshi Sinha
Sonakshi's cinched-in, floor-length Manish Malhotra outfit was a welcome change from her usual print-heavy choices.

Jaya Bachchan
Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla seemed to be the designers for the evening. Though we wish Mrs Bachchan outfit were toned down a bit, we must give her props for the refreshing colour, so unlike her usual neutral picks.

Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri's choice of anarkali plus strappy sandals and oversized earrings, though overwhelming, works for her in a way we can't quite pin point. Keep doing what you're doing, Ms Dixit!

Deepika Padukone
Deepika's shined in a Ritu Kumar pick, sheer sleeves, Nehru collar and all. We love the messy, easy-chic updo she paired with the heavily worked-on anarkali.
